The Korea Baseball Organization regular season will start next week. However, key players suffered injuries during the KBO preseason, to the dismay of their teams. Reigning champs SSG Landers and Doosan Bears lost their foreign players to injuries during preseason training.
SSG Landers betting fans hope Enny Romero’s injury is not severe. However, his history of shoulder problems might sideline him for Opening Day on April 1. Also, the team lost Ha Jae-hoon to a left shoulder injury.
On the other hand, the Bears will miss the services of Dylan File. He was hit in the head during live batting practice. Also, free sports betting odds experts learned he needs four weeks of rest. Thus, he will not pitch for Doosan during opening weekend.
KBO Preseason Injuries
Go Woo-suk of the LG Twins must rest for a few weeks. The team reported he suffered an inflammation of the shoulder. On March 6, people who bet on baseball reported Go complaining of neck pain during an exhibition game. Thus, he did not pitch in any of the exhibition games in Tokyo. As a result, the Twins will miss the services of the KBO leader in saves during Opening Weekend.
The KT Wiz bullpen is taking an even bigger hit, as they will be without two critical relievers for the first several weeks of the season.
Chinese right-hander Ju Kwon, who threw in this month’s World Baseball Classic for his country, is experiencing correct forearm issues. Ju will be out for at least two months, but thankfully he will not require surgery.
For the Wiz, the 27-year-old has been a stalwart. He made 58 starts and had a 3.91 ERA and 15 saves.
Right shoulder issues have forced Kim Min-su, another KT reliever, to miss two months of action. With a 1.90 ERA and 30 holds in 76 games (80 2/3 innings), he was one of the best setup men in the KBO in 2022. Last season, Kim was the best full-time reliever in both innings pitched and appearances.
