Korea held sports tourism events in the Philippines. According to basketball betting reports, the two events were held on June 3 fand eatured Filipino KBL Players.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism organized The My Korea Story with KBL Players from the Philippines. They partnered with the Korean Culture Center in the Philippines, Korea Tourism Organization, and the Korea Basketball League.
According to basketball betting predictions experts, the Philippines is one of the top sources of tourists visiting South Korea among Southeast Asia countries. Also, the other SEA nations with the most residents visiting South Korea are Vietnam and Thailand.
Filipino KBL Players in Sports Tourism Events
There are many Filipino players in the KBL due to the Asian Quota System. It allows teams to sign a player from the Philippines or Japan apart from the two foreign players limit. Thus, the Philippines is an ideal country to hold a sports tourism event. The ministry hopes to attract more tourists from the Philippines.

Also, their goal is to attract overseas tourists to South Korea to watch games and support athletes from the countries. They want people from across the globe to make watching K-sports part of their bucket list.
